Kawasaki’s 800SX-R boasts the lowest prices in the range at $5,995 MSRP, which compares to Yamaha’s Superjet at $6,499 MSRP and the Hydrospace S4 at a staggering $12,995. The difference becomes visible in the physical make-up and attributes of the watercrafts.
POWER
The Kawasaki 800SX-R pumps out 80 bhp at 6,250 rpm, which rides just above the Yamaha Superjet at 73 bhp, providing both ski’s with excellent acceleration. The Hydrospace pumps an incredible 110 bhp in comparison, which is clearly reflected by the higher price tag.
HULL
The SX-R’s 800 hull is one of the larger in the range, providing good stability and support for the rider, measuring 90.6 ins in length and 28.7 ins in width. The Hydrospace’s hull is pretty much on par with this measuring 90.1 ins in length and 29.1 ins in width. Yet, the Yamaha Superjet comes in at 88.2 ins in length and 26.8 ins in length, by far the smallest in the class.
WEIGHT
Weighing in at just 351 lbs, the SX-R 800 is not the lightest, nor the heaviest watercraft, compared the dry weight of the Yamaha SuperJet at 291 lbs and 370 lbs by the Hydrospace S4.
